Our
Mission
The
Alzheimer Society of Cambridge is dedicated to enhancing the lives of persons
with Alzheimer Disease or related dementia and their caregivers by providing
support, information, education, public awareness, advocacy and the promotion of
research.

What We Believe
In order to
enhance the quality of life for those affected by Alzheimer Disease or a related
dementia, we believe that:
 |
Early diagnosis of Alzheimer's
disease or related dementia leads to improved care. |
 |
Community awareness and education can prevent the stigma and
isolation often associated with dementia. |
 |
Specialized skills training, education and support for caregivers
(family and professional staff) is essential for success in dealing with the
psychological and practical aspects of caregiving. |
 |
A comprehensive, person-centred care model is critical to
ensuring that all client/caregiver needs are met. |
